JustForFans fees for US creators

How much does JustForFans take? JFF fees, the 85% exclusive tier and your payout

Twenty percent on the standard split. Fifteen if you go exclusive. That second number is the only real decision on this page, and it costs you every other platform you run. Here is the arithmetic both ways.

The split is fixed. Your gross is not.

Nobody negotiates JustForFans down from 20%. What you can change is the number it takes 20% of. We promote adult creators, price the subs, unlocks and PPV properly, and keep the fans buying. Free, confidential application, a reply within 24 hours, and your logins and payouts stay yours.

By applying you confirm you are 18+. Your details stay 100% confidential and are never shared.

The short answer

JustForFans takes 20% of what your fans spend, leaving you 80%. If you hold Exclusive Performer status, meaning JustForFans is the only fan platform you run, it takes 15% and you keep 85% instead. That rate is flat across subscriptions, tips, private media sales, paid texting and store sales. On $1,000 of fan spend a standard performer nets $800.00 and an exclusive performer nets $850.00.

One sourcing note, because it matters and nobody else says it. JustForFans does not publish its fee schedule on a page you can read without an account: the site returns a payment wall to anyone who is not logged in. The 80% and 85% figures are consistent across every creator-facing source that has covered the platform, including reporting in Bustle, and they match what the platform has told creators for years. But they are reported figures, not figures you can point a browser at. Verify the current rate in your own dashboard before you plan a month around it. Anywhere on this page a number is reported rather than published, it says so.

You will also find pages claiming JustForFans takes 30%. That figure appears in a handful of recently generated comparison posts and matches nothing any creator has reported. Treat it as noise. Product by product

The JustForFans split, income line by income line

There is no per-product tiering. One rate covers everything, which is more than ManyVids can say.

Income line You keep (standard) You keep (exclusive) Notes
Subscriptions 80% 85% The monthly recurring fee your fans pay. The base of most JFF income.
Tips 80% 85% One-off tips inside messages, on posts and during live streams.
Private media sales (PPV) 80% 85% Locked photos and videos fans pay to unlock. Usually the biggest line after subs.
Texting and paid messages 80% 85% Paid message exchanges, including customs negotiated in DMs.
Store sales 80% 85% The content store, where fans buy individual clips and bundles outright.
Live streams 80% 85% Stream income arrives as tips and unlocks, so it follows the same rate.

A flat rate sounds boring until you compare it to a marketplace. On ManyVids a clip sale pays you 60% while a custom pays 80%, so two creators earning the same gross can take home very different amounts depending on what they sell. JustForFans does not do that. Whatever mix of subs, PPV and texting you land on, the cut is the same, which makes your income forecastable in a way marketplace splits are not.

The arithmetic

$1,000 in fan spend, standard versus exclusive

A US creator, paid in USD. Same gross, two tiers, a $50 difference.

Line Standard (80%) Exclusive (85%) Notes
Gross fan spend $1,000.00 $1,000.00 Subs, tips, PPV, texting and store sales combined.
JustForFans keeps -$200.00 -$150.00 20% standard, 15% if you hold Exclusive Performer status.
Your share $800.00 $850.00 The 5 point gap is the entire financial argument for exclusivity.
Payout threshold $50.00 $50.00 Commonly reported floor for basic performers. Below it, the balance rolls forward.
Effective take rate 20.0% 15.0% No separate processing fee is published on top of the split.

Put that on a scale you can feel. At $500 a month gross, exclusivity is worth $25. At $2,000 it is worth $100. At $10,000 it is worth $500 a month, which is when it stops being a rounding error and starts being a real decision. Below roughly $1,000 a month, the tier is not what determines your income and you should not organize your business around it.

The only real decision here

Is the 85% exclusive tier worth 5 points?

The break-even is simple: exclusivity pays only if your other platforms earn less than 5% of your JustForFans gross.

Take the 85% when

  • +JustForFans is already your only paid platform, so the exclusivity costs you nothing you were using.
  • +You earn enough that 5 points is real money. At $2,000 a month gross, the tier is worth $100 a month.
  • +Your traffic comes from search, tags and the JFF performer database rather than a following you built elsewhere.
  • +You do not want the workload of posting, pricing and messaging on two platforms at once.

Stay on 80% when

  • ×You have an OnlyFans or Fansly page that already earns more than 5% of your JFF gross. The math loses instantly.
  • ×You are still testing platforms. Locking in before you know which one converts is the expensive mistake.
  • ×Your audience is on a platform your fans already trust and pay on. Moving them costs you more than 5 points.
  • ×You sell customs to a handful of high spenders who follow you personally. They will pay you anywhere, so exclusivity buys you nothing.

Run the number rather than the feeling. If JustForFans grosses you $3,000 a month, exclusivity adds $150. If your OnlyFans grosses even $200 a month on top, giving it up to gain $150 loses you money, and that is before you count the fans on the other platform you would never have met. Most creators earning across two platforms should stay standard. Most creators who genuinely only use JustForFans should take the tier, because they are leaving 5 points on the table for nothing.

JustForFans payouts: threshold, schedule and speed

The payout threshold reported for basic performers is $50, and JustForFans is reported to let you choose between weekly and monthly payouts. That choice is worth noticing, because it is genuinely better than the competition. OnlyFans and Fansly both make you request each payout manually, which means money sits in a wallet until you remember it exists. A weekly schedule moves it without you doing anything.

If your balance is below the threshold when a payout date arrives, it rolls forward into the next one rather than disappearing. That is standard across the category, and it is the main reason new creators see nothing for the first few weeks: the money is there, it just has not cleared the floor yet. Picking weekly early on gets you to your first real payout faster and tells you sooner whether the platform is working.

What JustForFans does not make public is how a refund or chargeback is deducted. No platform in this category is good about this, and only OnlyFans states in its terms that a chargeback deducts an amount equal to the creator earnings portion, which is the net basis. Absent a published rule at JustForFans, assume the worse case: a $50 refund can cost you the full $50 rather than your $40 net. Our guide to how creator chargebacks work and how to keep disputes rare transfers cleanly here.

Head to head

JustForFans fees versus OnlyFans, Fansly, ManyVids and Fanvue

Honest version: on the standard split, four of these five charge exactly the same.

Platform Platform cut Payout minimum Schedule The real difference
JustForFans 20% (15% exclusive) $50 reported Weekly or monthly, your choice Only major platform with an exclusivity discount
OnlyFans 20% $20 reported Request based, 7 day pending Largest buyer pool, no discovery, no tiering
Fansly 20% $20 Paxum or crypto, $100 bank transfer Request based, 7 day pending Publishes an explicit no processing fee promise
ManyVids 40% on clips, 20% on most else $50 Weekly, Wednesdays Marketplace traffic, but clips pay 60%
Fanvue 15% after an intro period $50 reported Request based Lower headline rate, much smaller audience

Read the first column and then stop treating fees as the deciding factor. OnlyFans, Fansly and JustForFans all take 20%, so choosing between them on price is choosing on a number that does not vary. What varies is the size of the buyer pool, whether the platform helps fans find you, and how much of your time the messages eat. Full breakdowns: how much OnlyFans takes, how much Fansly takes, and every major platform's cut on one page.

Does JustForFans take out taxes?

No. JustForFans withholds nothing and issues no W-2. As a US creator you are an independent contractor, so the whole 80% or 85% lands untaxed and the liability is yours from the first dollar. Net self-employment earnings above $400 trigger self-employment tax at 15.3%, and that threshold has nothing to do with whether a 1099 arrives.

Two figures moved recently and most creator tax content has not caught up. The 1099-NEC reporting threshold rose from $600 to $2,000 for tax years beginning after 2025, and the 1099-K threshold reverted to more than $20,000 in gross and more than 200 transactions. Neither decides what you owe. They decide only whether a form gets mailed. Every dollar is taxable regardless, which is why setting aside a slice of each payout as it lands beats meeting the number in April. Our creator tax guide and our breakdown of the creator 1099 thresholds have the detail. This is general information, not tax advice.

Where we come in

Five points is not what decides your month

The gap between 80% and 85% is worth $50 on $1,000. The gap between $1,000 and $4,000 of fan spend is worth $2,400. We promote adult creators where their buyers already are, price the subs, unlocks and PPV so the split is worth having, and keep the fans renewing. You keep your logins, your payouts and the large majority of what you earn.

Frequently asked questions

JustForFans fees, answered

JustForFans takes 20% of what fans spend, leaving creators 80%. Creators who hold Exclusive Performer status, meaning JustForFans is their only fan platform, keep 85% instead, so the platform takes 15%. The rate is the same across subscriptions, tips, private media sales, paid texting and store sales.

The same 20%, or 15% for exclusive performers. JustForFans does not publish a separate tip rate. A $100 tip leaves a standard performer $80.00 and an exclusive performer $85.00. Livestream tips follow the same rule, because stream income arrives as tips and unlocks rather than as its own product.

Exclusive Performer status pays 85% instead of 80%, a 5 percentage point improvement, in exchange for not running a competing fan platform such as OnlyFans or Fansly. It applies across tips, private media sales, texting and store sales. Whether it pays depends entirely on how much your other platforms earn.

Creator-facing sources consistently report a $50 payout threshold for basic performers, with the choice of weekly or monthly payouts. JustForFans does not publish this figure on a page anyone can read without an account, so treat $50 as a reported number and confirm the current threshold in your own creator dashboard.

You choose. JustForFans is reported to offer both weekly and monthly payout schedules, which is unusual: OnlyFans and Fansly both make you request each payout manually. Choosing weekly gets money moving sooner, which matters most early on when your balance sits near the threshold.

Not on the standard split. Both take 20%. JustForFans is only cheaper if you qualify for and accept Exclusive Performer status, which drops its cut to 15% but forbids you from running OnlyFans at all. So it is cheaper only for creators who were never going to use a second platform.

No separate processing fee is published. The split is the headline cost. What is not published anywhere readable is how refunds and chargebacks are deducted, so assume a refund can claw back the gross rather than your net, and price accordingly.

No. JustForFans withholds nothing. US creators are independent contractors, so the full 80% or 85% arrives untaxed and the liability is yours. Net self-employment earnings above $400 trigger self-employment tax at 15.3%, whether or not a form arrives. This is general information, not tax advice.

The plain version: JustForFans costs the same as OnlyFans unless you give up OnlyFans, in which case it costs 5 points less. That is the whole fee story, and it is a smaller story than the platform's marketing wants it to be. Choose on the buyer pool and the discovery, not the percentage.
